As co-founder, Director, and Executive Vice Chair, Jeffrey M. Kissel brings four decades of senior leadership experience in the global infrastructure and energy sectors to GISI. He is a recognized expert in change management, specializing in guiding enterprises through complex transitions to reach their full potential. His extensive international career, with leadership roles in North America, Europe, and Asia, provides a crucial global perspective to GISI’s strategy and operations.
Prior to joining GISI, Jeff served as President and CEO of Hawaii GAS, where he was a pioneer in the energy transition, leading the company’s strategic shift to bring renewable natural gas to the state. He consistently leverages his deep background in environmental engineering and a broad range of energy sources—from conventional and unconventional to fuel cell and renewable power—to shape strategy, develop new technology, and prepare organizations to succeed in the 21st-century global economy.
Jeff served in government as an executive implementing the Affordable Care Act as well as a public company Director, CFO and Audit Chair; his expertise is recognized at the highest levels of industry. He is a trustee of the Energy Policy Research Foundation, an influential organization studying energy economics and policy.
