President & Chief Strategy Officer

As President and Chief Strategy Officer, Scott Kolbrenner supports the leadership of STO Building Group and GISI Consulting Group, driving organic and strategic growth while collaborating with GISI leadership to execute capital strategies that align with the company’s core values and long-term shareholder objectives. With three decades of experience advising leaders throughout the Engineering and Consulting industry and developing deep relationships in the financial community, Scott’s perspective helps shape the company’s strategic direction and enhancing long-term shareholder value.

Prior to joining GISI, Scott served as a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey, where he led the Engineering & Infrastructure Services practice, sat on the Management Committee, and co-led the Houlihan Lokey Impacts Charitable Committee. Throughout his career, he has executed diverse transactions spanning mergers & acquisitions, financing, restructurings, and strategic advisory engagements. Earlier in his career, Scott developed expertise in capital markets financing at Lehman Brothers and practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Scott actively serves on the Board of Governors for the Los Angeles Region of Pacific Clinics and previously was a member of Young Presidents’ Organization. Scott holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
