John’s principal GISI role is to leverage his experiences from building and overseeing a multi-billion-dollar global business to add value to our family of companies, including introducing our partner companies to his global relationships and proven global strategies. He is committed to enabling GISI, its partner firms and their leadership to attain their potential. As a founding shareholder of AECOM and co- founder of GISI, John embraces the importance of management and employee ownership as a key for having our partner firms’ strategic interests aligned.

Climbing the ranks, John moved from engineering manager at PRC Harris to president, then to CEO and executive chairman of AECOM, Under his leadership, AECOM doubled its workforce and tripled its revenue to $10 billion, while expanding its service offerings and geographic reach. Previously, John was president and CEO of DMJM Harris, as well as president and CEO of Frederick R Harris.
