As a GISI cofounder, a GISI Board Director, and its Chairman and CEO, Rick has overall responsibility for GISI’s direction and results. Rick works with our partner companies and our executives in developing effective strategic initiatives. These include strategic mergers and organic growth plans that take advantage of our liquidity, our capital market relationships, and the synergies between our companies. Rick also provides the leadership that enables GISI to meet our clients’ growing needs for integrated services, from planning design and PM/CM services to project finance opportunities.
Prior to taking on a managing role at GISI, Rick was president and CEO of Lowe Real Estate, a private real estate company with current development projects of more than $2B and over $4B of assets under management. There, he was responsible for Lowe’s development and construction management activity, focusing on the company’s investment in and operations of commercial office, industrial, multi-family, mixed-use, and institutional projects throughout the country.
Rick has served on numerous professional and charitable boards, including the Simms Mann Center for Integrative Oncology at the University of California Los Angeles, Urban Land Institute Los Angeles District Council, Park Century School, West Los Angeles County Council of Boy Scouts of America, and Young Presidents’ Organization, Angeleno Gold Chapter.
Rick earned his BS from Stanford University and his MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
