Dick supports executive management in developing equity plans, strategic planning, M&A efforts, and global relationships with other major AEC companies and professionals.
By encouraging our merger partners not to change their best practices and cultures but to build on them, Dick has established a unique formula for collaboration that focuses on the core value of the successful enterprises he has created.
Prior to founding GISI, Dick was the founder of AECOM, the world’s largest global multi-disciplined professional, technical, and construction services company. There, he served as chairman, president, and CEO through 2000, chairman and CEO until 2005, executive chairman until 2011, and chairman emeritus and a member of the board until 2015. Previously, he was president and director of Ashland Technology; president of Daniel Mann Johnson & Mendenhall (DMJM); and chairman and CEO of Genge, Inc., one of the early, publicly traded A&E companies.
Dick has served on several boards affiliated with Capital Group and has been the chairman of Capital Group’s Private Client Services Board. In addition to AECOM and Genge, he has also been a director of Sempra Energy Company and Southwest Water Company.
